We enjoyed a visit to the George Stephenson Railway Museum on Friday 15th July. The Museum is dedicated to the railway pioneers George Stephenson and his son Robert. It also houses one of the earliest locomotives, Billy.
The children got to learn about the history and design of this historic locomotive. They had the opportunity to sketch Billy using pencil before designing their very own locomotive.
The children enjoyed their creative day!
