Year 1 children enjoyed a visit to Safety Works in which they took part in an enjoyable learning experiences ,participating safely in realistic situations of every day hazards and how to prevent them.
The children took part in workshops that included:
- Fire Safety at home
- PDSA ,which taught them how to approach dogs safely
- Nexus who run the Metro system taught the children how to be safe using the metro
- Local Authority Road Safety explained how to cross a road and use the traffic lights safely
- RNLI , which taught safety around the beach and near waters
