Field Work
Year 1 children have been investigating the school grounds.
The children carried out a survey to find out what was there.
They then used an ariel view map to label the different areas ,
A whole class discussion took place to find out things they liked and disliked about the school grounds. The children then made suggestions on areas of improvements, here are some of their ideas.
‘I would like a rainbow basket ball court.’
‘I would like to see some slides in the adventure trail.’
‘ I would like an area with lots of creatures in.’
‘I would like to see more flowers everywhere.’
