Year 5 visited Holy Island as part of their History topic on the Vikings. They enjoyed visiting the Viking Centre, the priory, the church and walking around the village. It really brought the subject to life, understanding using primary and secondary sources, what it would be like at the time of the Viking raids. The children also gained lots of insightful information about the Saints who once lived on the island.
