Year 3 enjoyed their art lessons where they got to make a sculpture of a scarab beetle linked to our history work on the Ancient Egyptians. They used their sketch books to sketch the beetle before exploring with clay. They manipulated the clay by pinching, pulling, rolling, flattening and moulding. The children then explored using clay tools to create lines, impressions, shapes and texture. The children will paint their sculptures once the clay is dry.
