St David’s Day

This half term, the Mini Vinnies are committed to shedding light on the lives of various saints by sharing insightful and engaging information about them with the rest of the school. This afternoon the Mini Vinnie communication officers visited each class to share important facts about St David in celebration of his dedication and hard work throughout his life.

St. David is recognised as the patron saint of Wales, and his feast day, St. David’s Day, is celebrated annually on March 1st. It is a national day of celebration in Wales. Did you know that numerous miracles are attributed to St. David? The most famous one is said to have occurred while he was preaching to a large crowd. The ground beneath him is said to have risen, allowing everyone to see and hear him more clearly.
