Seven Stories
Year 1 children visited Seven Stories. They took part in a session that explored the life of chickens using ‘Rosie’s Walk’ story by Pat Hutchins. The children listened to the story then took part in various activities such as role play and creative work. This was followed up the story of ‘Where, Oh Where is Rosie’s Chick?’
They met Rosie the chicken and they had great fun designing and making a nest for her coup. Rosie loved meeting the year 1 children and answered all their questions about what it is like to be a chicken !
The children also had the opportunity to look around the galleries to explore the works and books of ‘Mog the Cat’ and ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’.
