Washington Wetlands

Year 1 and 2 children enjoyed a visit to Washington Wetland Center which provided opportunities to interact with birds and other wildlife from the UK and across the world.

The children had a fun learning experience through the Generation Wild activity which followed the story of Ava.

The story starts when the children stumble across a giant nest in the middle of the woods where they meet Ava, who was once an osprey but somehow got turned into a girl and lost her way in nature! Through various activities and challenges, which promotes the love of nature and learning, Ava starts to regain her identity once again.

The children watched the otters and flamingos having their lunch and listened to talks to learn more about the animals.

The children then had the opportunity to ask some questions about what they have just heard.
