Easter Reflection

Easter is the celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the dead. It is celebrated on Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, and is the beginning of the Easter season of the Liturgical Year. Easter is a celebration of faith, sacrifice, and forgiveness.

The children at St Joseph’s started the Holy Week listening to the Passion of Christ read by the staff during the Celebration of the Word. The children had an opportunity to reflect on this throughout the week by taking part in various lessons and activities .

An Easter Reflection was then carried out by the whole school to further their understanding. All classes contributed to ideas and activities in order for the children to share in the  experience of reflection and prayer .
