Y2 are learning about plants this term. Last week we had a plant workshop in the classroom where we observed, touched, labelled and sorted bulbs, seeds, flowers, grasses and vegetables. This was followed by a plant hunt in the school grounds.
This week we have been planting broad beans and sowing seeds so that we can grow our own flowers and vegetables.
We also have an ongoing experiment with 9 sibling plants to establish the best growing conditions. Our key question is ‘What do plants need to grow well?’
