Year 3 enjoyed a visit from staff at Durham University to explore the ancient Greeks. They took on the role of archaeologists and explored artefacts by observing closely and answering questions. They used clay to create their own votif offerings and they made sure to add plenty of detail. The children went on to perform a short play called ‘ The Medea’ which is a Greek tragedy. The children dressed in costumes and used masks to aid their performance. There was lots of audience participation too! What a fantastic day!
